Race courses run thru historic Darien and the beautiful Darien, GA waterfront

Race Route 5K Race Route

Entry Fee: $15.00 by March 1st for 5K

$20.00 after March 1st and on Race Day

Only pre-registered runners on March 1st will be guaranteed a T-shirt!

Insurance Policy Prohibits Dogs accompanying runners in this event.
Roller Blades & Skateboards PROHIBITED.

Awards immediately following race.

Unique awards presented to the Overall Male & Female and
Overall Masters (over 40 years of age) male and female

Challenged Athlete Division
Medals for Top Three in each age category
14 & under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49
50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 & over

This is the 41st year of the Blessing of the Fleet, a 3-day festival that will attract thousands of people to Darien, Georgia. The 2008 festival is sponsored by the Darien-McIntosh County Chamber of Commerce, with presenting sponsors of Indigo Harbour and Darien Telephone Company.

Waiver (Must be signed to compete in race)

In consideration of acceptance of this entry, I waiver any  and all claims for myself and my heirs against  Officials and sponsors of the 2008 Darien River Run for injury and illness that may result directly or indirectly from my participation in this race.  I release the Blessing of the Fleet committee, the McIntosh County Chamber of Commerce, all representatives, sponsors and associates of this race from any liability associated with my participation in this race. I further state that I am in the proper physical condition to participate in this event.
